Biography extended: I first started my love of music aged 9 years old buying 7 inch records like Kate Bush, Madness, The Specials, Ska living in Southend as a skinhead with twotone clothes and doctor martins with a single boxed record player. By the time I was 15 Rap music had been launched with the 12 minute rap tune ‘The Crown’ which I loved, this moved into Electro/Breakdance, with ‘Al Nyfish’, Rocket, Africa Bam Barta, aged 15 the ‘Wag Club’ was the place to go on a Sarturday morning in Soho. 12 Inch records came out as extened dance versions and I started mixing when I saw Jocks magazine for the first time which had the BPM listed on every track, I was mixing Micheal Jackson, Rick Astley, Joyce Sims, my first paid gig aged 15 was at the Royston arms pub in Chingford. Then house music arrived housenation/acid, lots of house parties Epping Forest shanigons and hedenistic time travel martian trips, I had a few gigs aged 18 at The Golden Lion pub in Loughton. at the time the film Alien had been released so I wore a silly T-shirt with a rubber alien protruding from the stomach, I was playing alongside DJ Lime the business partner of Slipmat SL2 playing raregrove and then the music evolved and diversified into Hardcore/Jungle/Drum and Base, I started raving at the Dungeon’s, Lee Bridge Road and doing pirate radio stations in Hackney east London at ‘Future FM’ as DJ Innocent and also wiring up illegal raves . The main pirate stations at the time were Fantasy FM, Centreforce 883, and Sunrise. At 28 I discovered ‘Trade’ and Hard House, a massive section of life which lead onto Tech House and Techno
